Maine Car Seats

KVCAP’s Child & Family Services Department provides two distribution locations for the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety’s car seat program which provides income eligible families with car seats.

To be eligible you must be able to provide a current State of Maine Driver’s License or current State of Maine Identification and be participating in one of the following:

  • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  • Mainecare (Medicaid)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • WIC folder with current dated vouchers or a current dated letter of eligibility from the other above mentioned programs you are currently participating in.

This service is available by appointment only and your child will need to be present during the appointment.  For expecting families the appointment cannot be scheduled more than one month before the due date.
