South End Teen Center

General Information

The South End Teen Center is available to any young person in the Greater Waterville area in grades 6-12. It is just for teens and is a great place to meet new friends or hang out with old friends in a safe and caring place.

The South End Teen Center runs in partnership with the Alfond Youth Center and is a satellite unit of the Waterville Area Boys & Girls Club. We are located at 5 Libby Court on the Waterville KVCAP Campus. Our hours are 2:15-5pm throughout the school year. During the summer we offer memorable field trips.

Youth supervision is provided by full-time and part-time Teen Center staff, in addition to work-study students and volunteers from Colby and Thomas College.

Summer Blast is a series of trips to a variety of recreational sites in Maine during the month of July. Pre-registration is required. Full day trips include lunch.

Summer Lunch Program provides a box lunch to school aged children/youth Monday-Friday throughout the summer. The lunches are delivered daily by the Waterville Public schools and must be eaten at the teen center.

South End National Night Out Festival is coordinated by the South End Neighborhood Association and is held at the Green St. Park on the first Tuesday in August. Several teen center youth volunteers help with the event, including operating a “children’s game” section at the festival.
