Heat Pump Program

The Heat Pump program, in partnership with MaineHousing, pays for the cost and installation of a heat pump for eligible Maine homeowner. Heat Pumps are an energy efficient supplement to heating homes that can help to lower heating costs. In an annual heating cost comparison, ductless heat pumps save energy – which helps the environment and can save you money.  Heat pumps can be used year round towards heating the home in the winter and cooling it in the summer.

You may be eligible if:

  • You are eligible for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and the Central Heating Improvement Program (CHIP)
  • You are a homeowner
  • Your home is a good candidate for a heat pump as a secondary heating source. During inspection, we can review if a secondary heating source would be a good fit for your home.
