The Gerald
The Gerald was built in 1900 by Amos Gerald. This former hotel is located at 151 Main Street in Fairfield, Maine. KVCAP renovated this stunning historic building into 28 apartments for people aged 55 and older. Equipped with an elevator and a community room, The Gerald is in the heart of downtown Fairfield, close to local businesses and services.
Mary Street Apartments
Mary Street Apartments, located in Skowhegan, Maine, are comprised of a renovated historic building and a second, newly constructed building. Combined there are 40 units of rental housing—4 studio, 12 one bedroom, 16 two bedroom, and 8 three bedroom apartments.
These are affordable workforce development apartments – 24 units for residents at 50% AMI, 16 units at 60% AMI—Somerset County income limits apply. Waitlist preference may be given to those who hold or have applied for Section 8 / Housing Choice Vouchers, and those who qualify as homeless / displaced, or have special housing needs. Utilities included: heat, hot water, electric—laundry on site, and an elevators in both buildings. Pets are allowed.
Hartland Senior Living 1 and 11
Hartland Senior Living 1 and 11, located in the center of Hartland, Maine, provide affordable housing for people aged 55 and older. Combined, the two buildings house 60 units with a mix of one and two bedroom apartments. All utilities are included (heat/hot water/electricity). Elevator access is available in both buildings as is onsite laundry facilities, and pets are allowed. A grocery store, the Hartland Public Library, a Community Center, the Town Office, and the Post Office are all within easy walking distance.
