Community Resource and Barrier Support helps individuals and families identify resources and address immediate barriers that may affect household stability or progress towards greater self-sufficiency. A counselor works with participants to understand their needs, connect them with community and agency resources and identify potential assistance when other options are limited.
Depending on individual circumstances and available funding, support may include financial assistance to help address an urgent barrier or household need. Assistance may be available with eligibility requirements varying by funding source.
A counselor can also help connect individuals with other KVCAP programs and resources, as well as appropriate external community services. All assistance is based on eligibility, demonstrated need, available resources and current funding.
