Region Manager
for Waterville’s New Educare Facility
This full-time, full-year position is responsible for assuring the programmatic
needs of children prenatal to age five and families are met through integrated
family-centered services in a collaborative/evaluative model. The position is
available immediately for orientation and planning in preparation for the opening
of expanded programming. Job duties include supervising staff including professional
development plans, monitoring operations and information, supporting the development
and implementation of departmental systems, collaborating with internal and
external partners, and assuring that Head Start Performance Standards, Maine
Early Childhood Learning Guidelines (0-3 and 4 yr olds), Educare Evaluation
Model, and other federal, state and local regulations are met in this multi-classroom
facility serving approximately 200 children. Qualifications for the Position:
Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Masters preferred) with
cross training in Human/Family Services; AND 3 years experience working in an
ECE inclusive classroom including staff supervision; AND 5 years program management
experience. Must be able to demonstrate strong communication and collaborative
skills (verbal, written, computer), and exercise group management and critical
thinking skills.

Site Coordinator
This full-time, full-year position will be based in Skowhegan, and is responsible
for assuring that the programmatic needs of children 0-5 are met through integrated
family-centered services. Job Duties include supervising staff, managing schedules,
supporting the implementation of departmental systems, assuring that Head Start
Performance Standards and other regulations are met within this 5 classroom
facility. Qualifications for the Position: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred
in ECE or related field) with cross training in Human/Family Services; AND 3
years supervisory experience working in an inclusionary ECE classroom. Must
be able to demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal, written, computer),
and exercise group management and critical thinking skills.
