Anticipated Openings for Home Visitors


The Kennebec Valley Community Action Program is searching for individuals to be part of a progressive and innovative team in its Maine Families Homevisiting Program.

Home Visitors provide comprehensive, home-visiting services to families with children from prenatal to age 3. Services include: provision of parenting education and support; as well as health, safety and child development information, referral, and follow-up to participating families. Requirements include Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field and experience and willingness to work with culturally diverse populations as well as experience in home visitation; knowledge of infant, child and adolescent development.

The position requires the ability to work well independently and with other staff, strong organizational, computer, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with a wide variety of people in different circumstances; valid Maine Driver’s License and use of a vehicle insured to State requirements. Experience providing case management or home visits preferred.
