Thank you New Balance!May 27, 2016
Hundreds of New Balance associates volunteered this week, as part of their Annual Sparkstart Global Volunteer Week, designed to ignite a lifetime of movement for children.
They revamped indoor and outdoor playgrounds and play areas, created painted running tracks, added fitness trails, and painted inspiring playground murals. They also built an outdoor classroom and garden spaces to integrate nature into lessons about science, health and nutrition, thereby providing the school and community with better access to fresh produce.
Throughout the day the children participated in recess and field day activities with New Balance associates to keep everyone moving and having fun.
Check out what they did at North Elementary School, Bloomfield School, and the new Early HeadStart building in Skowhegan. Absolutely amazing!
