It's time to haul out the golf clubs!

We are excited to announce that our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament and Silent Auction will be held on Thursday, June 29 at Lakewood Golf Course in Madison. All proceeds will support the Kennebec & Somerset Explorer public bus system.

Ridership has reached capacity and we urgently need your help to meet the ever-growing demand! In 2016, we provided 97,800 Explorer rides, almost triple that of five years ago! The demand in Maine and across the nation is rising, yet funding for this crucial service has not increased.

It is essential for us to raise $30,000 in order to stabilize and maintain the current Explorer routes and consider future expansion options, including commuter service between Skowhegan and Waterville. Without this funding, KVCAP will likely have to cut routes, which will severely impact the people who depend on the bus to get to work, school, appointments, shopping, and more.

Reliable, affordable public transportation creates positive economic, social, and environmental impacts on individuals, families, and communities. Your support will energize our communities by increasing access to education, employment and personal buying power. Studies show that for every $1 invested in public transportation, $4 is returned in economic earnings.
